Onward 2 High School will host a Summer Institute on the campus of partner high school sites; Bishop Mora Salesian High School, Cathedral High School, Sacred Heart High School, St. Anthony High School, St. Mary’s Academy, and St. Pius X - St. Matthias Academy.

The O2HS Summer Institute is a three-week, STEAM-based program where rising 7th grade and 8th grade students will expand their learning while making new friendships through engaging and collaborative lessons, field trips, learning from guest speakers, and hands-on fun projects!

  • Summer Institute welcomes rising 7th and 8th graders from ADLA, charter, and public schools. Applicants must have a target GPA of 3.0+ to be considered for acceptance.

  • Summer Institute 2026 takes place July 6th-24th, 8:30 am - 1:15 pm, five days a week (Mon-Fri).

  • Summer Institute is hosted at six high school sites; Bishop Mora Salesian High School (Los Angeles), Cathedral High School (Los Angeles), Sacred Heart High School (Los Angeles), St. Anthony High School (Long Beach), and St. Mary’s Academy (Inglewood), and St. Pius X - St. Matthias Academy (Downey).

  • Students are required to submit an application. Apply here.

  • Summer Institute registration is $100 including programming such as field trips. Scholarships to attend the program at no cost are available. Students who would like to be considered for a scholarship must submit their application by Early Application Deadline of May 8th.
